Conditions of Use

Terms & Conditions – Handling Equipment Sales Ltd

1. The following terms shall be meant by the following:

a. Buyer means the person whose order for goods is accepted by the seller.
b. The seller is Handling Equipment Sales Ltd.
c. The goods are the goods supplied by the seller to the buyer
d. The contract is between the Seller and buyer for the supply of goods

2. Data Protection and Privacy

a.The RECORD materials handling shop website is protected by SecureCode authentication service all information obtained online is encrypted and fully secure. We use the ePDQ CPI service provided by Barclays.
b. The seller only collections information that is necessary to fulfil orders. In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The seller never lets a third party access this information.

3. Pricing
a. All prices are subject to V.A.T at the current rate

4. Payment Terms
a. The buyer can pay for goods by most major credit and debit cards online. Goods can also be purchased by the following methods, with the agreement of the seller, BACS, Cheque before delivery or cheque or cash on delivery.

5. Availability
a. All orders are placed subject to stock availability. Goods may be temporally out of stock in which case we will contact you so that you may choose to either wait for despatch when goods are back in stock, or you may choose alterative products or a refund.

6. Claims procedure
a. Regarding non-delivery, the buyer must notify the seller with seven days from the sellers invoice.
b. The buyer must examine the good at the time of delivery. The seller will not be liable for claims arising from damage caused to the goods in transit unless loss or damage is noted on the delivery note. The buyer must notify in writing within 48 hours of any damage claim.
c. Any claim that the goods are not as described or are not the correct quantity should be notified to the seller within 48 hours
d. The seller must be given reasonable opportunity to investigate any claim and the buyer shall if requested return the goods securely packed in original packaging and carriage paid.

7. Return goods
a. You can order in confidence with our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If any truck that you order fails to meet your expectations in any way, simply contact us for a return code, stating your reasons for return. The goods should then be returned to us, undamaged and unused. The goods should be in the original packaging stating the return code on the outer packaging.

8. Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
a. The buyer shall ensure that the goods will be properly and safely used in accordance with health and safety regulations. In particular, the buyer shall examine the goods to establish that they are safe to use in the conditions in which they are delivered. The buyer is obliged to use the goods for the intended purposed and in accordance with the instructions for use.
